The guest house is close to shopping centers such as The Glen and Glenvista Shopping Centre, schools, restaurants, golf courses, salons and spas. There are also a number of nearby tourist attractions including Johannesburg Exhibition Centre, Apartheid Museum, Gold Reef City casino and theme park, Soweto, Cradle of Humankind and the Lion Park. Just 5 minutes away you have access to numerous hiking trails, mountain biking trails, fishing spots, zip lining, driving ranges and horse riding. There are numerous great restaurants nearby.
Accommodation
Villa Lugano Guest House consists of comfortable, tastefully furnished bedrooms ranging from classic, elegant to colonial style rooms. The guest house has 12 rooms, including standard single rooms, deluxe twin, deluxe double or superior twin and double rooms with adjoined spacious en-suit bathrooms. Bathrooms come equipped with hairdryer and electric shaving facilities.
The main influence of the style of the rooms and the rest of the house is from towns called Lugano and Portofino in Italy. Other influences of the guest house come from the south of France. This gives Villa Lugano Guest House an authentic Mediterranean feel.
All rooms are equipped with TV sets that provide viewing from a selected DStv Bouquet. Free Wireless Internet facilities is provided and each room is equipped with an adequate table should guests wish to work after hours.
Facilities
Villa Lugano is located in a large and attractive emerging garden which adds ambience to a pleasant and memorable stay. A relaxing atmosphere is created by means of interior and exterior entertainment areas such as the outdoor lounge and pool area. Secure off street parking is provided by means of double automated garages.
Breakfast
Scrumptious breakfasts are available either in the dining area or weather permitting on the adjoining patio. Home cooked dinners are available on request by prior arrangement as well as lunch boxes from the nearby Italian deli should guests wish not to venture out. There is also a small Italian family restaurant across the road.
Conferences
Villa Lugano Guest House offers a small conference facility for up to 16 delegates. The conference facility is a theatre styled venue which is also air conditioned. Wireless internet facilities are available as well as projectors and photocopying facilities.
The conference facility is ideal for smaller groups who wish to have more of a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Light snacks are available as well as tea or coffee.
