RoomFive is a stylish venue built for the purpose of holding events. Each part of the business has been carefully thought through and designed accordingly.

Look and Feel

The venue consists of beautiful charcoal walls and a large gold leaf 40m wall, walnut wood paneled entrance walls and manicured plastered, white ceilings and charcoal carpets throughout, accentuated by mirrored pillars and larger than life black and gold tunnel chandeliers. The furniture and reception counter, bar and sound booth finishes are white with walnut touches. The floating , interlinked 3d box decor wall is both an eye catching feature and functional as you can either just lay in candles in the boxes or promote product or branding.

Facilities

RoomFive is fully equipped with all event basics from reception counter, stylish feature bar and back of house service bar, sound booth , reception area, banquet, event hall, smoking section balcony that can either be opened or closed off from the main hall, pamper station en route from the bathrooms and we have our own kitchen, fully equipped to handle any event.

Space specifications are as follows:
• Main Banquet / function hall 715m² - minus bar and sound booth leaves you with +/- 680 squares to work with
• Balcony area 60m²
• Reception are 150m² area outside the doors we can utilize for overflow on large events and finally a 340m² kitchen

There is also a delivery entrance from the basement with a lift with a two ton weight allowance that opens directly into the kitchen load in area and doors close by direct into the main hall, great for VVIP special entrance and exit into an event.

AV technical breakdown

The venue has built in all the basics your event will need with provision to accommodate any technical additions you may require. In the reception we have Vieta ceiling speakers producing beautiful ambience throughout with 4 47inch LCDs.

The TV ‘s are individually controlled allowing you to do logos on a set and then seating arrangements on the others etc. There are AV plug ins as well in front which allows the Av team to control that area specifically separate to the main venue. The main room has wall mounted Vieta Do10’s producing beautiful sound to accommodate most events unless a major layout is required. This is accompanied by a 4m screen on the gold leaf wall and the 4 x 50inch LCD’s around the venue. All cabling is built into the walls and ceiling which is linked to the sound booth.

We have two possible stage points where we have built in two detailed patch pads with numerous Mic, HD visual and lighting connections to be plugged in and controlled from the Sound booth. All these cables are built into the walls and ceiling, which cancels out the need for a snake to be laid down through your event. Each patch pad is also equipped with both 32amp 3 phase and a 16amp 3 phase connection for extra power if need be.

We are running a basic but well equipped Soundcraft EFX 12 sound desk for your use. The venue also has a wireless microphone for your use. All this is included in your venue hire.

Regular items that are not included in the venue hire but can be provided are a stage, dancefloor, DJ and sound technician. We prefer to use our sound technician and DJ and they are provided at a very competitive price but you are welcome to bring your own, but they are required to be vetted first before working at RoomFive.

Seating and eating

The venue hire includes cocktail tables and stylish white cocktail chairs or white banquet chairs and tables with a choice of a stylish black or white table cloth, matching serviettes, salt and pepper cellars, table numbers, breadbaskets, all cutlery, crockery and glassware.

Decor

The design of the venue leaves little to be decorated for your event but also provides a great palate to work with. For smaller events we have beautiful large white plinths with greens on which you can utilize accordingly for your event and the venue is also laid out with complimentary tea light candles in glass holders and encompassed with the scent of vanilla. We also provide a stylish flower arrangement service if you wish, which is an extra but competitive cost. Any extra decor or hiring we can also provide if need be, please ask our team to assist.

Catering , Staff and Bar

Catering is in house as RoomFive is owned by Franz Catering and Events whom have been operating for seven years and have worked on events up to 15,000 people at the same time, among cooking for various corporate giants, stylish VIP weddings, numerous heads of state, royal families and international sports superstars, even to home parties and spit braais. We have a delicious selection of menus to peruse or we can create a special menu for your event.

If you would like to bring in either a strictly Halaal or Kosher caterer this is allowed upon vetting of your caterer and a surcharge per person is required. They will have full use of the kitchen facilities.

On bar we require a small deposit to be paid which is then worked on consumption on the tills. The client can run a tab and then go to cash bar if need be once the tab is done. We will send you a beverage list and the client cans elect their preferred items for the bar so that it doesn’t get too out of hand in terms of the bill. No alcohol or soft beverages are allowed to be brought onto the premises unless it has been pre-arranged with management and if allowed, as surcharge will apply according to the product.

Staffing is provided in house. Our event managers, ops managers, chefs, cleaning staff and barmen are all included in your venue hire.

• The full use of the venue till 2am (music must however be turned down to an acceptable level at 12 midnight)
• All the sound and AV built in at the venue
• Includes all crockery, cutlery and glassware
• All the plinths, vases, greens and tea light candles with vanilla scent
• All tables, black and white table cloths, serviettes and chairs for your banquet
• Cocktail tables (20) and chairs (60)
• Barmen, chefs, ops and event managers
