This secure b&b, Linden Place is very centrally situated, close to Rosebank, Parktown, Sandton, Randburg and Auckland Park. Linden is named after the Linden farm, which stood in this part of Johannesburg over a hundred years ago. The original farmhouse still exists in the heart of the suburb.

Partway down the slope of Linden, heading off towards Emmarentia, is Lindens heated swimming pool (5 blocks from Linden Place) and the Emmerentia Dam and Botanical Gardens are well worth a visit at any time of the year.
Cresta Shopping Centre is less than 2 km away with all the mayor shops, restaurants and Barnyard Theatre. Or visit trendy Greenside around the corner from Linden. The hip suburbs high streets are lined with restaurants, antique and art décor shops that have transformed this park of Johannesburg into one of the best kept secrets in the city.
Melrose Arch Shopping Centre is inspired by some of the worlds greatest piazzas and international high street shopping destinations. Melrose Arch is also set to be fashion first with a delight of designer trends. The Northgate Ice Arena in Randburg - skating for fun. Lifestyle Family Garden and Centre offers Ponyrides, train trips, motorized bikes etc.
If guests would travel a little bit further (22 km) they could visit the Lion Park. Many species of game can be sighted here. Eight different large African carnivore species can be seen. Or visit South Africans biggest owl collection and home of variety of big cats at the Lory Park Zoo and Owl Sanctuary in Midrand also about 24 kilometres from Linden Place.
