Lethabo Estate \ Accommodation in Lanseria

Lethabo has very different types of award winning accommodation. We have a mobile Spa available which means, depending on the suite or room you choose, treatments can be enjoyed privately there or next to the river. We also offer riverside and evening picnics, Fire Dancing shows, private or for groups and lessons for fun. We offer Horse Whispering Join Up and Game drives at the nearby Lion and Rhino Park. We are close to many attractions and are are super springboard for all sorts of Cradle adventures!

We have full board and Self catering units available.

ACCOMMODATION

The Rock Pool Lodge (with luxury suite and paddock lounge):
The Rock Pool Lodge’s spacious luxury master bedroom, is perfect for a special occasion or romantic getaway. Designed for romance, it has a fireplace next to the bed, is beautifully furnished with precious antiques and fine artworks, and complimented with candles. The room flows seamlessly out onto a wide wooden deck to its own private rock swimming pool, and Koi pond water feature, through huge glass and wood sliding doors offering breathtaking wraparound views of the reserve. The en-suite bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a large fish tank and glass ceiling through which you can gaze at the night sky whilst languishing in your double Jacuzzi spa bath.

The Stables Cottage (Rhenosterkop room with cathedral suite):
The Rhenosterkop room and cathedral suite is a spacious and charming suite in a private garden near the Stables. It has a bathroom as well as a freestanding Jacuzzi spa bath which opens out to the garden, with views of the Rhensterkop Mountain. It has two fireplaces and a DStv lounge. Meals can be enjoyed at the riverside restaurant if required and picnics can be arranged at its own private riverside picnic spot.

Die Ezindala Farmhouse:
Die Ezindala Farmhouse, which means recycled things in Zulu, has been furnished using old collectable, loved and recycled decor in line with our green, sustainable approach. This old colonial style Farmhouse is elegant and enchanting with five or six en-suite rooms, each of which has been themed with recycled treasures. Each room has a double bed and a single bed “flop spot’’ with en-suite showers with skylights. In all the rooms, the beds have stunning wraparound views of the conservancy through double French doors that lead out to their own private stoops with table and chairs. Each room has a very private an intimate feel.

The Lace Room is reminiscent of days gone by when ladies would sit together and create exquisite crocheted lace work. These old recycled treasures have been framed and the lace creates an elegant and whimsical feel to the room. The Refilwe Room or The Gift Room is filled with gifted items, recycled cards and gift bags, The Chic Room is decorated with antique and beautiful old handbags and other old collected and recycled feminine decor, The Rainbow Room is a celebration of our Rainbow nation and features walls painted in traditional ways used by the Sotho and Ndebele. Adorning the walls is bead work, traditional recycled Zulu hats and literature on the cultures of South Africa. A note on the 11 official languages celebrates our Rainbow Nation and our pride in our cultures and diversity.

The Bridle Room is a play on the word, ”bridal” and is a tongue in cheek assortment of our old leather martingales and bridles and items of equine bondage combined with beautiful features like a beautiful old Spanish Piano shawl and delicate tassels and drapes.

The Farmhouse can be booked as a 5 roomed unit There is a large kitchen for self- catering if desired, alternatively we supply our famous gourmet picnic’s, and reservations can be made at The Riverside Restaurant A lounge with a fireplace and French doors lead out to the gracious wide stoep which surrounds the farmhouse. Comfortable outdoor couches allow guests to enjoy the beautiful treed garden with its swimming pool, braai area and lapa, with breathtaking views of the Conservancy and Magaliesberg, It is a great place to chat and unwind in the evening. Its outdoor lapa and small conference room means it can be used for small wedding ceremonies, conferences and workshops.

The Kingfisher Suite:
The Kingfisher River loft is a beautiful gem, the ultimate romantic paradise, a private 'green' suite with surround sound and TV for movies, a Jacuzzi spa bath, candles and incense. It has a breath taking view over the river and it's own private picnic spot on the water's edge, with a hammock, where you can relax dangling over the river.

The Willowtree Hideaway:
Our gorgeous, private, Willow Tree Hideaway is an organic, thatched boudoir, with a tree house feel. Set on a raised wooden deck under a huge Willow Tree and cocooned in dense reeds, the Willow Tree is on the banks of a quiet stretch of the fast flowing Crocodile River.

Indoors a sunken Jacuzzi spa bath, surround sound stereo and decadently romantic furnishings complete with Persian carpets, silk cushions and a mosquito net, set the scene. Outdoors, a large, double hammock, fire brazier and beautifully set dining area (weather permitting), complete the picture.

The River Cottage:
The River Cottage is an absolutely private gem on a beautiful wild stretch of the Crocodile River. This gorgeously furnished stone and thatch cottage has a surround sound, a fireplace, four-poster bed with mosquito net, and Persians and Jacuzzi Spa bath, both overlooking the rapids. On your private river bank, a plunge pool a double hammock strung over a the river invites you to laze away the day whilst gently rocking over the river. You will arrive to chilled sparkling wine and delicious hors d'ouvres, an entrée to a weekend of gourmet cuisine.

Weddings

At Lethabo you will have exclusivity of the venue. This means plenty of time and no constraints to enjoy your special day to its fullest. We treat each wedding as a unique, spiritual ceremony. We customize everything to suit you specifically, from the set up to the menu and your perfect day ends with a night in The Willow Tree Hideaway. Conferences

Lethabo’s conference packages include a light breakfast with freshly baked hot cheese puffs, sun dried tomato or bacon strips, homemade healthy muesli and honey-crunchies, Italian filter coffee and a variety of teas and infusions, a morning tea break with delicious homemade muffins with strawberry jam and whipped cream, a delicious and wholesome three course lunch and an afternoon tea break with home baked delights.

Flip Charts, Data projector with a 3 meter wide suspended screen, mints, pen and paper are all also included. Our conference room is a restful place with beautiful art and objects from all over the world and the soothing song of the river in the background to invigorate your spirit. The space can accommodate groups from 10 to 60 delegates in comfort.

Teambuilding

Lethabo is 150 acres of Riverine Nature Reserve and due to its size and varied landscape we can offer almost any team-building activity you can imagine through outsourced suppliers.
Our unique Firedancing Team build is a must! Great fun and wonderful de-stresser it builds team spirit through choreography and at the same time is fabulous entertainment!

Spa

The SoulKhaya is an award winning Spa for their unusual and holistic treatments (utterly amazing and not to be missed) . They are both Rieke masters and the only Spa owners also on the South African Spa Association.

Picnics

Lethabo’s very special boudoir style romantic picnic is in unique and absolutely private lover’s retreat on the river. Tucked into the river bank, a little thatched gazebo shelters a beautifully made up bed with flowers, petals and carpets. The very adventurous can swim in the river behind the waterfall downriver of your picnic table, so bring swimming gear and takkies and enjoy gourmet food, chilled Cap de Classique and a cooler box of drinks.

The luxury Kingfisher and Fish Eagle picnic spots are private and surrounded by tall reeds and sheltered under an enclosed thatch Gazebo. The interiors are designed for romance with a comfortable double bed, cushioned flop spot. Gourmet picnic baskets are set up at a table under Caribbean umbrellas and can be enjoyed at the comfort of a laid table on a private stretch of river with abundant bird life. There is chilled complimentary semi sparkling wine and waters and gourmet cuisine in the picnic baskets.
