In the tranquility of the Swartkops Mountains, on the banks of the Blaauwbank and Crocodile Rivers, lies Glenburn Lodge. Situated within the newly declared World Heritage Site , the “Cradle of Humankind”, this hotel, conference, wedding venue and spa is a mere 30 minutes from both Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Accommodation

Accommodation includes a total of 100 bedrooms made up of two and three bedroom chalets, Garden Suites, 48 hotel twin rooms including two family rooms and two paraplegic rooms, as well as twenty one luxury suites overlooking indigenous bush and tranquil water features.

The latest addition to the Glenburn offering is Bushwillow Tented Camp, providing a fun-filled African safari experience for guests. Ideally situated on the Blaauwbank River, this venue accommodates from twenty to sixty guests in self-catering tented accommodation at a very competitive rate. A boma and heated pool ads to the leisure aspects of the venue while rugby and hockey facilities as well as a large sport field makes this the perfect venue for teambuilding activities.

Leisure activities

A host of exciting recreational facilities include hot air ballooning, horse trails, walking trails, adventure golf course, river trout fishing, floodlit tennis, beach volleyball, rock pool complete with grotto, pool bar and Jacuzzi, gymnasium and pool room.

Chicama Country Spa

The stylish Chicama Country Spa has chosen the romance of the vineyard as its theme. The five star Spa facilities include a total of ten treatment rooms of which two have private hydrotherapy baths, three have private gardens and the couples’ treatment room boasts with a romantic, private Jacuzzi. A heated pool and countryside patio completes the ultimate venue for relaxation.

GLENCOVE
Celebrate your wedding in style at this beautiful riverside setting. With its open-sided gazebo-style chapel, lovely landscaped gardens and thatched reception area, Glencove, seats from 80 - 100 guests, if a dance floor is included.

GLENKYLE
Glenkyle, on the banks of the Blaauwbank River, is our largest wedding venue and accommodates up to 250 guests. With views over a waterfall and landscaped gardens and water features, it is a favourite with wedding photographers. Glenkyle features an open-sided, thatched Chapel seating up to 250 guests.

GLENWILLOW
Glenwillow is the latest addition to our spectacular wedding offerings. Situated in the Bush Willow Tented Camp, this venue accommodate up to 60 guests on the banks of the Blauwbank River, nestling at the foot of the Swartkop Mountain range. Bush Willow Tented Camp offers a fun-filled African alternative for weddings with its Boma, ten tents and heated swimming pool. Each tent accommodates up to six guests and is equipped with a kitchenette, shower and toilet facilities. The whole camp may be booked out for the bridal party at a very competitive rate.

WINE CELLAR
Experience the warm and cosy ambience of our Wine Cellar leading off our popular Laird’s Inn Pub. Down the curved stairwell, you will find the distinctively decorated, well-stocked, authentic Wine Cellar. To complement your meal, choose from the impressive selection of Cabernets, Pinotages, Shiraz’s and Merlot blends, and for the wine connoisseur - Vintage Wines! Ideal for cocktail parties, fondues, wine tastings and corporate functions of up to 20 guests.

Conference Facilities

The natural scenic beauty of Glenburn Lodge makes it the ideal setting for conferences, product launches, think-tanks and team-building exercises. The Conference Centre seats up to 600 delegates across nine conference rooms, 3 breakaway rooms (with a additional 3 alternate breakaway rooms) and an executive Boardroom. All rooms are fully equipped with whiteboards, flipcharts, and screens. Overhead projectors TV’s and VCR’, PA system are available at an additional charge. Fax, photocopying and Email/internet facilities are also available.
