At GL Cottages our Management and team offer visitors and guests a haven of peace and tranquility in the midst of Johannesburg's thriving metropolis. Set high on the Observatory Ridge, where a number of national monuments are housed, it stands above the hustle and bustle of the city and provides those who visit an opportunity for reflection and renewal.
Nestled in a beautiful garden, the establishment offers the perfect venue for functions, business conferences, and retreat programmes for special interest groups with a capacity for up to 50 people. GL Cottages is ideal for training workshops, conceptual and think tank meetings, strategic planning, board meetings and team building and wellness.
Accommodation
We have 21 en-suite rooms, some of which are old stone, thatched cottages. Each of our rooms has its own theme ranging from African to a simple English country cottage. Some units offer self catering facilities. Each morning, guests are greeted with a heart-warming full English breakfast. We have a large pool and aerobic walk to the top of our property with 360˚ views over Johannesburg.
Conferences
Perfect for training workshops, think tank meetings, team building and wellness activities. The GL Cottages has two conference venues that can hold 24 and up to 40 participants respectively, depending on seating arrangements. GL can also arrange for and accommodate smaller meetings of 10 to 15 people. All rooms are attractively appointed, well equipped, quiet and conducive to work.
