Dinokeng Fishing & Camping Kameeldrift
Dinokeng Fishing & Camping is situated on the South Eastern banks of Roodeplaat Dam where the Edendale River flows into the dam (directly opposite Leeuwfontein Estates and Sable Hills Waterfront Estate), which is a 15 minute drive from Pretoria. Please keep in mind that we are out on the Kameelfontein Road and not the Kameeldrift Road.
Accommodation
We currently offer 22 camp sites all 22 sites have electricity points and braai facilities. 11 Sites are directly on the waters edge, for the ardent fishermen, and 11 sites off the water for the non-fishing campers.
Most of our visitors are very serious fisherman that enjoy a drink or two - but appreciate nature and respect one another and keep noise levels down. We are a family destination, and cater for the individual, families and groups. We have clean ablutions with proper flushing toilets and running hot / cold water, a wash up facility is located at the rear of the ablution block.
We have 2x four sleeper cabins which consist of 1 double bed and 2 single beds only. Own bedding, cutlery, crockery, chairs etc need to be supplied.
Note: We regret no dogs and cats are permitted.

Fishing
We have been visited by National Geographic for filming of certain fresh water species and the Magazine Stywe Lyne / Tight Lines, has reviewed our fishing area in 2010, 2012 and 2014. Childrens training clinic was held on site by Carp World and DVD filmed in 2014. Carp weighing up to 17kg has been caught here as have Black Bass of 3.9kg, Kurpers weighing 2kg, Barber at 9kg and a variety of other fresh water fish.
