Deruxa Cottages & Conference Facility De Wagensdrift
Where nature feels like home ... Deruxa has a warm, inviting feeling and provides the tranquillity that guests are looking for. The property boasts pristine bushveld and has been game fenced and a number of game species have been introduced. We are situated a mere 40kms north of Pretoria and 22kms west of Cullinan and give one the opportunity for a break-away without having to drive for hours.
Accommodation
The Farmhouse:
The Farmhouse was refurbished in 2008 and is now a beautiful self-catering unit that can accommodate between eight and ten guests. We will gladly make extra mattresses for children. The unit consists of a main king en-suite bedroom, a double bedroom with bathroom and a twin room with bathroom. There are also two single beds in the reading area.
The huge kitchen is well stocked and has all basic cooking utensils. The Farmhouse also has a dining room and TV room with 10 channels DStv. No smart card required. A pool table and games cupboard is supplied for your leisure. The facilities at the self-catering lapa includes a pizza oven and 12 seater table under a wooden deck which is close to the swimming pool. Lush lawns and tree canopies surround the units.
Executive Cottages:
We extended the accommodation options in 2010 / 2011 and added three executive cottages. These cottages accommodates two guests each either on king, queen or twin beds. They are en-suite and have tea / coffee making facilities, a fridge, air-conditioning, fireplace and ten channels of DStv. Meals are taken at the main lapa on a set menu. Special requests can be accommodated for functions.
The Stable Cottage:
The last unit is quite unique in the fact that it used to be horse stables. It has been beautifully refurbished and is now used as a honeymoon suite / private getaway. It is situated farther from the main area and is a self-catering unit. It has a small kitchenette with stove, fridge, microwave oven and cutlery and crockery for four guests. The outside patio and boma / braai area provides for the outdoor living. It has a king size bed or twin beds according to the request. There is also a double sleeper couch in the unit for children. Meals may be taken at the main lapa. Please bring your own DStv smart card for this unit.
Our staff are well trained and live on the premises. The units are serviced once daily and laundry may me done at an additional cost.

Breakfast and Dining
A variety of cereals, muesli, yoghurt, seasonal fruit, pastries and / or a full warm breakfast including French toast, bacon, sausages and toast or vetkoek and mince are offered.
We provide full catering upon request. A variety of light lunches and dinner options are available.
Weddings and Events
We cater for kitchen teas, birthday parties and weddings. Our venue can accommodate up to 40 to 50 guests seated either in the main lapa or a marquee tent on the lawns. The bar stocks a wide variety of drinks. The catering is done on the premises and menus can be discussed and set prior to any function.
Conferences
The conference facility is located next to the open air lounge. It is fully equipped with a conference table and caters for a maximum of 12 people. The air-conditioned venue is also provided with a flip chart, white board with markers and a TV with a satellite connection. There are ample electric plugs for laptops and other equipment which can be connected to the overhead projector or flat screen TV for presentation purposes. An outside patio and lounge provides the ideal place to enjoy tea and coffee during breaks as well as light lunches. A limited cash bar is also available on request.
