Chislehurst Guest House Rivonia
Chislehurst is an elegant affordable private guest house in the quiet leafy suburb of Rivonia, just 20 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport and Lanseria International Airport. Roger and Jenny Shepherd offer charming, private, fully equipped en-suite accommodation with separate entrances and secure parking. All rooms are air conditioned and have comfortable sitting areas and desks with complimentary WiFi.
Accommodation
All rooms are fully equipped, with king size beds, twin beds if required, flat screen televisions with DStv, tea and coffee making facilities, cutlery, crockery, glasses and fridge and microwave. All the en-suite bathrooms have large baths, separate showers, and we provide complimentary toiletries, and gowns and slippers are available.
Guests are not confined to their rooms, however comfortable; they have access to all aspects of the guest house, including the sitting room and television room which is where you find playing cards, board games, chess etc both of which have an extensive selection of books available for borrowing. The dining room, where breakfast is served in colder weather, and where dinners by request are served, opens onto a covered patio, which is a peaceful place to relax with a book and a good cup of coffee.
The lovely thatched lapa by the swimming pool is popular for relaxed summer lunches, and where breakfast is served in summer. The lapa is where the bar is situated, with ice maker, music centre and television, and where sports enthusiasts can have lunch and watch their favourite game. This is also the perfect venue for relaxed, peaceful get togethers such as book clubs, coffee mornings, wine clubs, high teas and kitchen teas.
Breakfast
We are renowned for our delicious breakfasts, which are included in our rates, and which start with cereals and fresh fruit salad, orange juice and yoghurt, and anything you fancy to order.
Business Meetings
We also cater for bosberaads, boardroom meetings and breakaway days, and small business or private lunches. We can provide whatever catering you require at extremely competitive cost, and also hire any equipment required at the best possible cost. There is plenty of parking and we have a 24 hour security vehicle.
Services
Being so close to Montecasino, we offer a special accommodation rate for guests who have tickets to the major productions. This special rate includes a glass of champagne before the show. Jenny can arrange transport and tours to just about anywhere, and being an accredited Gauteng tour guide, can advise on places of interest either nearby or further afield. There is an additional charge for shuttles to and from the Gautrain.
