Candlewoods Guest House Centurion
Candlewoods Guest House is nestled in the heart of a rich heritage site in Candlewoods Country Estate, Centurion. It is a Victorian style building with a pit roof and wooden windows. The interior is stylish decorated with rich fabrics and crisp white linen.
Surrounded by beautiful gardens and a great view over Centurion our guest would find peace and quiet away from the hustle of the city. But Candlewoods Guest House is situated close to Centurion Lake Mall, Super Sport Park and Pretoria City Centre, Midrand and Johannesburg for those guest who wants to get the city vibe.
Accommodation
We have ten very beautiful B&B rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and seven luxury self-catering rooms - each with their own unique colour theme. All the rooms are non-smoking and each has fully stocked mini-bar fridges. The rooms also have LCD-flat screens with six different DStv channels. Wireless internet is also available in the Guesthouse.
Brand new to Candlewoods are two self-catering houses each with three or four self-catering rooms with Provence inspired interiors. Each room has a small kitchenette and a working desk. Each self-catering house has a communal lounge with a barbeque / braai area.
Weddings and Conferences
Another new addition to Candlewoods is Candlewoods Wedding & Function Venue and offers an elegant and tranquil setting for your fairytale wedding or any function /conference. The Cape Cod style chapel with stained glass windows, wooden pews and red carpet is the perfect venue to make a special day most memorable.
The Banquet Hall with its imported crystal chandeliers, wooden floor and view over the greater Pretoria and Centurion area makes for an exquisite wedding reception, function or conference. Both the chapel and banquet hall can accommodate up to 180 guests and is situated next to a hand built Klipkraal, were picturesque wedding photos can be taken and it is ideal for pre-drinks and canapés while guests watch the sunset.
The clock tower hosts a Van Bergen Bell, which was cast in 1936 in Heiligerlee, Netherlands. The Van Bergen family began to cast bells in 1795 at a foundry in Heiligerlee. The specific casting methods and fine-tuning of bells was passed from one generation to the next, and result a steady growth in the family business where they constantly improve their products. Each Van Bergen Bell is cast in a custom made mould which is destroyed once the bell is cast. The Van Bergen Bells are said to be the best in the world.
