Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in the heart of the magical Magaliesberg, Budmarsh Private Lodge welcomes you to its world of understated elegance, tranquility, and personalised attention. For all those exercise enthusiasts there are also a number of hikes to choose from in the surrounding areas.

The Magaliesburg River, being a stones throw away, offers the potential for some of the best Trout fishing in the area. For those who wish to relax, the pool and lounge/library are ideal places for sitting back and reading a good novel. In winter, the underfloor heating and fireplaces make it the perfect cozy retreat. There is also a Snooker Table for some extra entertainment.

ACCOMMODATION

Rooms: Each of Budmarsh’s 18 bedrooms is individually designed and decorated, and offer guests a fully appointed bathroom. Our rooms differ in terms of what they offer guests, from fireplaces to outside showers, to balcony’s - guests can choose which room will suit them best.

Whichever room you choose, you can be guaranteed that you will rest in comfort. All of the rooms have under floor heating, heated towel racks, satellite TV, and are furnished with antique furniture.

Bathrooms: Each bathroom is fitted with a shower, as well as a large bath. Additional features include under floor heating and heated towel racks. Some rooms also have jacuzzi baths or outside showers.

CUISINE

Our master chef, Chris, is responsible for all of the sumptuous cuisine. Carefully created delicacies make each meal a delightful experience that will not be forgotten. Dinner is a six course set menu, however if you have any special meal requirements we will cater for these accordingly. A full breakfast is served in the mornings.

If the demands of your busy schedule prevent you from staying over, escape to the magical Magaliesberg for a relaxing day in the country, enjoying Sunday Lunch, a Picnic or High Tea at Budmarsh. Remember booking is essential. Morning and Afternoon High Teas are served Mondays through to Saturdays.

CONFERENCES

The main conference facility offers sweeping views of the Magaliesberg Mountains while the second opens onto a tranquil garden. Both facilities are designed to inspire, motivate, develop and spoil your staff. The conference rooms provide modern but formal venues. Equipped to host up to forty delegates, the facilities are of the finest available and are fitted with DVD, Audio and Visual technology, Data Projectors, together with internet WiFi hot spots.

GAUTENG WEDDINGS & BANQUETING

Surrounded by the Magaliesberg Mountains, and exquisite gardens, Budmarsh is the ideal venue for a small, intimate wedding. At Budmarsh you are guaranteed friendly staff, and attention to every detail. We can cater for up to 40 guests.

TROUT FISHING

Budmarsh provides the ideal place for a relaxing time of fly-fishing. In winter our dam is stocked with the best Trout from the Mpumalanga province.

ACTIVITIES

Horse riding, game drives, microlighting, canopy tours and hot air ballooning are some of the activities available in the area and can be arranged on request. Budmarsh offers swimming, bird watching, walks, picnics, high teas and billiards.
