Blue Crane Lodge \ Accommodation in North Riding

Situated in Bellairs Drive, North Riding, with tranquil gardens and ample birdlife, the Blue Crane Lodge is the ideal location for business travellers and tourists alike. We are securely surrounded by townhouse complexes on all sides, a well established oasis in the middle of new developments.

Accommodation at the Blue Crane Lodge is designed to make you feel right at home, with great privacy, gorgeous gardens and unique colourful décor. All our en-suite double rooms have individual outside entrances and are tastefully decorated with original paintings by artist Debbie Joy.

Accommodation

The rooms are equipped with fans or air conditioners, electric heaters, TV’s kettles, microwaves, bar fridges and hair dryers. Blue Crane Lodge is also equipped with wireless internet and individual satellite television access, as well as a generator for any unexpected power outages.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in our sunny dining room, and in winter we have a lovely open wood fire. A selection of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, coffee and toast is available whilst we prepare your cooked breakfast.

Enjoy a sundowner on your own private patio before exploring the ample restaurants and night life in the area. We take pleasure in ensuring that your stay is a comfortable one. Dinner can be provided in the room by prior arrangement only. All rooms are equipped with a fridge and microwave for your convenience.

Conferencing

The Blue Crane Lodge also has a conference facility that can accommodate up to 40 delegates and is fully equipped with a wide screen, white boards and flipcharts, as well as a data projector that is available for rental on request. We serve muffins and tea or coffee upon arrival, as well as tea and biscuits at teatime, followed by a scrumptious lunch. We can customize our facility to fully suit your requirements.

Activities and Attractions

The lodge is close to numerous restaurants, Fourways Mall, Northgate Shopping Centre, business parks and tourist attractions. Nearby attractions include the entertainment hub of Monte Casino, an indoor Tuscan-styled village consisting of many restaurants, boutiques and an upmarket casino.

Other activities include movie theatres and a fascinating bird park. There is safe parking and walkways to explore the exclusive shopping that Monte Casino offers.

At the nearby Lion Park, more than 100 lions can be found, with the rare white lion being the main attraction. The animals are viewed from vehicles providing excellent photographic opportunities. Other large African carnivore species can also be found, including hyenas, cheetahs and wild dogs. The Park’s many herbivores include Black Wildebeest, Springbok, Blesbok, Gemsbok, Red Hartebeest, Zebra and Giraffe.

Or pay a visit to the Lesedi Cultural Village, Gauteng’s most exciting showcase of African culture where you can view four traditional African villages. You will be introduced to the art, dancing, history and tribal legends of the African people.
