Apricot Hill Farm Muldersdrift
Nestled in its own rocky amphitheatre, high on a hilltop in Honingklip and with a glorious view over the rolling foothills of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, lies Apricot Hill Farm. Apricot Hill is an affordable farmstay for wedding guests to the Muldersdrift venues - for conference delegates and business people - or just for a breakaway from the City for a weekend of leafy green gardens, the call of hunting jackal at dusk and the soft Hooo-o of our resident Eagle Owl.
ACCOMMODATION
Apricot Hill offers tranquil, self catering country cottages, self catering rooms and cosy farmhouse rooms, all with a breakfast option.
THE COTTAGES
Just a few one- and two-bedroom country cottages (see: Photo Gallery thumbnail no. 2 and 4) scattered amongst the Elephant Ears and Sweet Thorn trees, with private barbeques and access to the pool and old tennis court (good for a knock around) - the perfect weekend breakaway! Minimum weekend stay is 2 nights (Cottages only).
THE CLOISTERS
Five rustic, self catering rooms (see: Photo Gallery thumbnails no. 8, 9) away from the main accommodation - quiet, private and with a glorious view of a truly African sunset. (No minimum stay required here, one night or more)
THE FARMHOUSE
Four cosy guest rooms (see: Photo Gallery thumbnail no. 3), all have their own private garden access, and a choice of double or twin beds. Close to the breakfast room with the stunning aroma of morning coffee and muffins (see: Photo Gallery thumbnail no. 5) (No minimum stay required here, one night or more).
CONFERENCES
Apricot Hill offers two venues for mini-conferences, informal meetings, team building and bosberade. In lovely Highveld weather, our covered terrace (see: Photo Gallery thumbnail no. 6) opens onto leafy gardens down to the pool. For even more privacy, we have an inside venue too. Both can take up to 16 delegates and day or overnight packages with various menus are available. Tranquility, hearty home-cooked meals and your own glorious sunset braai at the end of the working day - sound good?
ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIES
Surrounded by the myriad venues of the Crocodile Ramble and bordering the Magalies Meander, Apricot Hill offers access to a host of activities nearby - arts and crafts, gourmet restaurants to game reserves, caves, trout fishing, paragliding and hot air ballooning.
Just a quick hop to the new Maropeng Interpretation Centre near Sterkfontein Caves and a lazy half-hour meander through private game farms to Hartbeespoort Dam with its craft markets, watersports and evening cruises. With cheese farms down country lanes and whitewater rafting down the Crocodile River, abseiling down Bat Cave and renowned potters just down the road, Apricot Hill is the perfect venue for the artistic and the adventurous.
Whenever you need to escape from the City, to chill or to think, to celebrate or to play, Apricot Hill Farm is one of Muldersdrifts peaceful places - a warm and welcoming farmstay, just 40 minutes from Johannesburg and Pretoria - and a million miles from anywhere!
